Day 1: Launceston
Welcome to Launceston! On arrival at the airport you will be met and transferred* to your hotel located on the waterfront in the heart of the city.Two Night Stay: Launceston
Day 2: Launceston (FB,L,D)
Today there is the opportunity to discover this picturesque city on your Included SCENIC FREE CHOICE activity. Choose from: (1) a tour of Beaconsfield Mine, the Heritage Centre and Platypus House and Seahorse World; or (2) wineries tour in the Tamar Valley; or (3) private guided walking tour; or (4) Tamar River cruise. Tonight enjoy your Included dinner at the Levee Food Co. nestled in the heart of the Marina.Day 3: Launceston - Freycinet National Park (FB,HL)
Depart Launceston this morning after breakfast. SCENIC ENRICH: Visit Yondover Dairy and be welcomed by the owners for a tour and sample their homemade goats’ cheeses. Then at Ledgerwood stop to see the historic trees depicting carvings of the fallen World War 1 soldiers they were planted to commemorate. Continue to the East Coast of Tasmania and the small coastal towns of St Helen’s and Bicheno. SCENIC ENRICH: Be treated to a delicious lunch at the Sea Life Restaurant with breath taking views overlooking Waub’s Bay. Then take a spectacular drive along the stunning East Coast to Freycinet National Park where you will enjoy two nights to discover this untouched coastal wilderness. This luxurious lodge has a spectacular waterfront location just inside the National Park overlooking Great Oyster Bay.Two Night Special Stay: Freycinet
Day 4: Freycinet National Park (FB,HD)
Enjoy a day at leisure to explore this spectacular coastal wilderness area at your own pace. Marvel at the myriad of colours for which Freycinet is renowned - pink granite mountains, white sandy beaches and sparkling turquoise seawater. Take one of the many walks from the lodge, including a walk to see the sparkling blue waters of Wineglass Bay, enjoy the lodge facilities or simply relax and watch the sunset colours blaze over the bay. SCENIC ENRICH: This evening enjoy a relaxing BBQ dinner on the deck enjoying delicious Tasmanian cuisine (weather permitting).Day 5: Freycinet - Hobart (FB)
This morning we farewell Freycinet and continue on our journey as we visit some of Tasmania’s key historic townships. Stop to see the convict-built Spikey Bridge and take a step back in time on your Included visit to the historic town of Richmond, Australia’s most delightful Georgian village where you will see Australia’s oldest bridge, dating back to 1825 and built by convict labour. SCENIC ENRICH: This afternoon on your private tour of Bonorong Wildlife Sanctuary, you will meet and learn the shy and elusive Tasmanian Devil.Two Night Special Stay: Hobart
Day 6: Port Arthur (FB,HD)
A highlight today is your Included full day tour to the World Heritage-listed Port Arthur historic site, set on the southern tip of the Tasman Peninsula. Stop and admire the spectacular geological rock formations of the famous Tasman Arch and Devil’s Kitchen in the Tasman National Park. SCENIC ENRICH: At Port Arthur, your expert local guide will take you on a private in-depth tour of this former penal settlement. You will then have plenty of free time to explore at your own pace and take your Included cruise around the harbour. Return to Hobart late afternoon. SCENIC ENRICH: This evening enjoy your dinner of sumptuous Tasmanian fare at the Drunken Admiral Restaurant to say farewell to new found friends, your Tour Director and Coach Captain.Day 7: Hobart (FB)
