Overview
Set amongst Hunter Valley vineyards, Peppers Convent is an exclusive getaway exuding the ambience of an indulgent French Baroque hotel mixed with the distinctive character of an Australian country guest house.
The 1906 retreat, was originally home to the Brigidine order of nuns in Coonamble, located nearly 600kms west of the Hunter. The building was moved in pieces to its present location, before being painstakingly reconstructed by a team of master tradesman.
Sitting amongst beautiful gardens and vineyards in Australia's Hunter Valley wine country, Peppers Convent Hunter Valley is just a short stroll from the renowned Robert's Restaurant and Pepper Tree wine tasting barn.
Famous for the scrumptious breakfast served in the charming sunroom, guests can relish old-fashioned bread & butter pudding and the signature Eggs Benedict.
Be spoiled at the brand new endota spa, where therapists will pamper body, mind and soul with a plethora of pleasing treatments, which include hot stones massage, multi-vitamin power facial, drenched stand out treatment and billabong footbath.
Guests can also enjoy a swimming pond, heated spa pavilion, tennis court, boules and complimentary use of bicycles.
With an ambience of peace and tranquillity, Peppers Convent lures guests looking for a magical mini-break or weekend escape.
It’s also an ideal base from which to explore the many delights of the Hunter Valley region. Wineries, hot air ballooning, joy flights, sky diving, rainforest tours, horse and camel riding and antiquing are but a few of the pleasurable ways to wile away the day.
Of course, Peppers Convent is also the ideal getaway for guests wishing to relax in the ambience of this romantic setting and do nothing at all.
